While I Was Away . . . .

During our time in India, my exposure to media sources in that land showed me that India beat Australia in Cricket, that villagers opposed the construction of a steel plant on their land, and that the nation continues to wrestle with the notorious December, 2012 gang rape & murder in Delhi.

However, some interesting things happened on the American news landscape that I completely missed until my return on Friday.  Here’s what jumped out:

The Dow Jones set its all-time high.

Close to home, Jim Bakker returned to the grounds of the old PTL ministry for the first time in 25 years.

Gonzaga became the #1 ranked team in college basketball.

Bonnie Franklin died.

Justin Bieber had his worst birthday ever.
