Christmas Eve At Good Shepherd

Staff and leaders have finished hand delivering hundreds of these candy cane invites to our neighbors on both the Moss Road & Zoar Road campuses.

Ever since my earliest days in ministry, I have thought, “why would anyone show up at church if you’re not willing to go out and invite them?”  So we did.

Anyway, here’s the schedule for this unique year in which Christmas Eve is on a Sunday:

Moss Road: Candlelight services in English at 10 a.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.  Note:  the 10 a.m. service will have full nursery as well as children’s programming in the K-Zone.

The 5 p.m. will have a “Reader’s Theater,” child-friendly, telling of the Christmas story.

The 10 a.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. services will have modern takes on older carols as well as a sermon called “Keeping The Inn Out Of Christmas.”

Moss Road:  11:30 candlelight service en espanol.

Zoar Road:  Candlelight services at 10:00 a.m., 5 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.   As with Moss Road, the 5:00 p.m. will be a Child-centered, Reader’s Theater telling of the Christmas story and the 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. will feature carols and sermon.

That’s EIGHT services across three venues, two campuses, and two languages.

Feliz Navidad!
