I love this video our Worship Arts team made for our recent Night Of Worship.
Two highlights:
1. It shows the remarkable racial and ethnic diversity God has brought to our full on, full color church.
2. Yet the refrain regarding being a “child of God” serves as vivid reminder that our diversity is a result and not a goal. Diversity for diversity’s sake leads to an impotent political correctness. The diversity we have is instead the result of lifting up the name of Jesus as high as he can possibly be lifted up . . . and all kinds of people rally around him.
